Surfing
If you want to go surfing, the beaches in the north of Gran Canaria, between Las Palmas and Gáldar, are the most popular on the island. A steady sea breeze guarantees ideal conditions and waves that can reach heights of up to 5 metres.
Bodyboarding at El Risco
You can also enjoy the waves at Las Salinas beach in Agaete on a bodyboard. Some of my guests have also had fun surfing at El Risco beach. However, if you’re looking for a bit more, there are various schools on the island’s north coast that offer a personalised service: you’ll be picked up from my cottage and taken to wherever the best waves are at the time.
